Earning4Learning 2009-2010 Program
August 9, 2009 through April 1, 2010
Earning4Learning is a program designed to earn cash prizes for your Alameda elementary school by
shopping at the retailers located at Alameda Towne Centre. Using a simple tallying system based on each
dollar spent equals one point. These points are totaled at the end of the program season in April resulting in
awarding in excess of $10,000 in cash prizes.
Earning4Learning is endorsed by Alameda Towne Centre, Alameda Education Foundation, the Alameda
Unified School District, and Alameda Magazine.
A few items made possible by the Earning4Learning Program in Alameda Elementary schools include, but
are not limited to, televisions, computers, library books, microscopes, cameras, small gardens, art supplies,
and more.
How it works:
- Shop at Alameda Towne Centre
- Bring your receipts into the school office or to your E4L coordinator for tallying
- Attend the Final Celebration and see what your shopping earned your school
Ways to gain additional points:
- Shop double point days…which will be announced throughout the year
- Publicize E4L in your school newsletter
- Send out reminders of the program throughout the year
- Place an announcement on the school marquis
- Hang posters around the school
- Family members and friends shop here too!
